The Tutor encourages the Student to summarize what was learned or accomplished.
- Student:
- Oh, I get it now.
- Tutor:
- That's great. Now, see if you can list the things you accomplished in this session.
- Student:
- Well, first I decided that even though I was having lots of trouble with the t-test, it would be better to go over chi-square since that was going to be on the test. Then you asked me to explain chi-square to you, and I did...sort of. Looking in the textbook and your coaching got me clear on a couple of things. Then I worked some problems and explained how I got the answers to all of them RIGHT!!!
