What is Tech Prep?
Tech Prep is a coordinated program with the San Mateo County High Schools/ ROP/ Job Train and the San Mateo Community College District to allow high school students to take articulated high school/ ROP/Job Train courses and receive college units.
From high school, students can transfer to a community college and earn a Certificate and/or an Associate Degree (AA/AS), or they may choose intensive hands-on training in a career technical field in a business or industry internship.
From a community college, a student can transfer and work toward a B.A. or B.S. degree at a four-year institution or choose intensive hands-on training in a career technical field in a business or industry internship.
Additionally, individuals can learn new skills or update current job skills
